Lavender
By A.J. Huffman
Lavender
is the color I see
you.
Shimmering.
A silken light,
it wears your face.
Soft.
In whispered kisses.
Blossoming.
Among the ruined garden.
In narrow sun,
placed.
By beauty.
Her beloved beast.
A gift to darkness.
And me.
Its undeserving bride.
