The way of love
By Linda M. Crate
love grows in blossoms
fragrant as rose, she unravels
her gardenias upon you in
purple prose; she makes your
heart oscillate like butterfly
wings, and she makes you
do the craziest things; when
she is true she lifts you up into
that privileged point of view —
but if she leaves you, she’ll
tear apertures straight through.
