Believe
By Linda M. Crate
the golden sun seems to sing
more mirth upon your face when
love has wrapped you in her rivers —
there’s just a magic to it that no
human can ever begin to comprehend;
two hearts twined as one, loving
one another despite their flaws, no
one can promise perfection, yet it seems
so strange that we can accept those
irksome habits in the one that we love —
while if someone else did that same
exact thing we’d be annoyed; it’s so
strange how love seems to transcend
all of the horrible throes of life if one
will just take her hand and believe.
