My Wolf
By Linda M. Crate
you are lone yet beautiful,
blue eyes piercing out of
the white snow; paws that
are strong and capable of
anything, a strong mind
full of thoughts I had not
even begun to consider —
I don’t know the exact
moment I fell for you, but
I did; you weren’t like
anyone I ever knew, you
told me once that I was
beautiful yet you didn’t
rub it in my face always as
if there were only one thing
on your mind; I appreciate
that more than you’ll ever
know, I can’t wait to go on
that date with you; you can
make me smile without even
being here, and I can’t help
but feeling that’s how love
should be if it were true.
