By Anahita Ayasoufi, Ph.D.
If life is too short,
why make a big deal
of the red feathers
of a cardinal,
or the music
of the ocean waves,
or taste of cherry?
Why talk about love,
if it never lasts for eternity?
What’s eternity,
if not a feeling
captured in a blink—
short-lived, but intense.
Yes,
life is too short.
Let’s make a big deal
of the red feathers
of a cardinal,
and the music
of the ocean waves,
and taste of cherry.
Let’s make a big deal
of love while it lasts. - - -

Yes, it is all about love. Being able to love and to be loved.
