Advice
By J.Williams
Outside, the sky is forget-me-not blue,
Children play in the road.
But the curtains are drawn and the fire is lit.
You are letting yourself implode.
Open the window, let the light in,
Let the shadows retreat and depart.
It may not fade away right now,
But all that you need is that start.
Kites will soar through your heart once more;
The grip of ice will wane.
A smile shall return to your face, anew.
You will learn to love again.

I am currently an English Literature student in the UK and have a couple of small publishing credentials. I enjoy nothing more than writing, which makes even sleeping suffer.
