LEAPS OF LOVE
By K.Balachandran
Her lithe body
an upward leap
of youthful pluck,
shivering gently transmits
waves to the depths.
Bodies in unison,
start to undulate.
Sprightly rower
and his boat move ahead
in the tumultuous stream.
To my slightest
sensuous touch,
she fizzes to the brim,
my cup is full,
her eyes are closed
as if in a trance,
somewhere near the
oasis called bliss
we tottered
every moment
feeling,"This is it"
She is a tree
full of flowers
showering its love
when I, the breeze
gently shakes.
Blame the way I look
at my love,
judge my view
as just skin deep
if you may,
accuse me for not seeing
the layers of meaning
of our love, a flow
through all terrains of life
We are in the stream
that carry us along.
Life is, the moment present
capture it's mirth, the most.
In now and here we rejoice,
let eternity on it's wings
find us as two spirited bodies
in a frenzied state of motion,
a transient engagement
with each other, oblivious of the rest.
Together we do
the leaps of love
to the giddy heights,
far beyond the limits
we ever would touch on our own.
