Love’s Enchantment
By Emileen Church
I could say I love you a thousand times
But it still wouldn’t express how I feel inside
I could thank God for you
With every single breath
But it would barely scratch the surface
Barely pierce the depth
I could study every language ever spoken by man
Search out every word created
Since time began
But I don’t think I’d find a word
Strong enough to describe
How I feel when I stare into your beautiful eyes
I could tell you how you’ve captivated me
Body and soul
And when you hold me in your arms
I never want you to let go
How I’m entranced by your smile
And the warmth of your kiss
The smell of your skin
The taste of your soft lips
I could tell you how you’ve spun my world
Upside down
And given me a happiness
I never thought could be found
But even then
You would only have a small glimmer of the truth
Of how I was blessed beyond measure
When God led me to you
