ATTMAC
By Steve Baba
A thousand courages
Could not equal this
One strongest soul.
A brilliant light
In the sky that
Leads the way.
Yet fragile of mind,
Love and compassion
Are her most
Incomparable traits.
I remember
A winter long ago,
The withered stems
Of the rose bush bluntly
Poking towards the skies.
But what made me cry
Was that one deep
Red rose that was
In full bloom
And still alive.
