Love Comes
By JoDee Pierson

Love Comes

Love comes with snow,

Like a dusting of angels wings.

Swept down from downy sky.

I wish I could wrap my heart around yours,

The way the snow enfolds the world.

Love drifts through our lives like the snow,

Like angel kisses falling softly on upturned faces.

Drifting down from heaven.

I would love you, if you’d let me,

Enfold you in my arms, as the snow wraps up the day.

Love comes with the snow,

As I would come to you,

Swept in on wings of love.

For a silent season, maybe longer,

If you would welcome me,

As the world welcomes the snow.

Love comes like the snow,

Quietly, silently, unbidden,

Swept down from heavens.

I write romance stories, poetry and fantasy. I grew up traveling with my family as my dad was career Air Force. I have told stories since I was old enough to repeat the tales my father wove over dinner , and written since I came to understand that the squiggly lines in the books my mother read aloud were words. Poetry Was my Grandmother's gift to the mix, you'll just have to imagine the brogue.
