Kiss Goodbye
By Glenda Grande
Give me your kiss of death and kill me softly
Beneath the starry moonlight; goodnight
Sweet dreams and forever goodbye my dear.
Maybe tomorrow will be a brand new world;
Let’s make a promise to meet there once more.
Your hand is slipping away – I can’t hold on.
You’re drifting away from me; slowly but surely
The tides between us beautiful yet melancholic;
Thank you for the time you loved me. I loved you.
I’ll whisper your name once more within the night;
Please remember my voice; the feel of my touch
Even if we’ll just become another bittersweet memory;
Once upon a time, like a fairytale of two lovers
I’ll wave goodbye to you, my prince of serendipity
Maybe we’ll meet once again; hold me once again.
One last kiss to end what we have and to start anew;
Farewell. Goodnight. Sweet dreams and a goodbye.
