Can You Count the Kiss?
By Alina Bernstein
You know it is special
When the kiss isn’t counted.
When there’s countless amounts,
And they’ve just amounted
To something just other than feeling or touch;
Overwhelming emotions that feel quite too much.
Or the beat in your mind and the thought in your heart,
That a kisses announcement has death do us part.
The sacred relation of one breathe to other,
Has the secret encryption of love for each other.
So thus, be prepared for an upcoming kiss;
Cause they are just simply not those to resist.

I am a thirteen year old woman who desperately fell in love at an inconvenient age. Ever since, my poetry has seemed to worry my parents, interest my friends, impress my teachers, and perfectly describe me. I no longer love him, but will never deny that I once did.
