That Soulful Look
By K.Balachandran
Ask me to forget just any thing,
But not that look that hooked
Me to you for life, for all times,
To come, whatever it takes.
Never would I be able to forget,
The moment, those soulful eyes,
Delved deep into my psyche.
In that connect, codes of the
Vaults to the heart's secrets
Got transferred, forever.
And how quick it all happened!
Even without leaving a breather
To think and wonder 'Hey,what is this?'
Is this what they call,
Alchemy of the hearts?
Never did I think it would be possible,
When in this moment,
A pearl, invaluable, falls like this,
Into my open palms,
What more is left for me to ask?
What is there in just a look?
Don't ask, to me but to that moment.
Presented itself, that was
In the womb of time,
Waiting to see the light.
You and I are to be the
Instruments to it's birth,
As the deliberate choices
In the hands of chance,
I understand.
Come, let us run out to the open,
The grass lands, where we are free
To be what we are and dance, dance
In the breeze, fragrant with flowers
And tell the whole world aloud:
"Yes, now it can be told, just a look it takes,
Love happens in one preternatural moment"
