Rip Van Winkle
By K.Balachandran
I find this stamp
As an untimely bloom.
A lost continent,
Like a marvel, comes afloat,
To the frozen ocean of my mind.
It took few moments,
To recollect its significance.
A sudden exaltation!
Then I decide to write
That reply she expects
From me,all along,
But again give in
To the pangs of
An irrevocable loss,
And realize this: I've lost forever,
In my long spooky sleep
The address of her
Immaculate heart that
She pinned to mine,
And waited so long,
To hear from me again,
When we found bliss together,
Last,and took leave
Promising to meet,
All of 20 summers ago.
