We Were So Young
By Steve Baba
We were so young then,
Troubles were a million miles away,
You were as fresh as an
Apricot scented wind on a warm
Summer day, I tasted your
Sweet kisses as the stars
Smiled above us,
I had never known what it
Was to be truly free
Until your love unlocked my heart,
Flying through the fascia skies
In my dreams, you were
Right next to me keeping me company,
It was the first time I ever cried
Tears of joy instead of sorrow,
Thank you so much for sharing
Your life with me for one brief moment.
