Excuses
By Ciara Livingston
I longed for freedom
(you were my first)
I craved to taste the flesh of another
(you were the love of my life)
To hold another girl’s hand
(yours was the only one I had ever felt)
When we made love,
(it was earth shattering)
I knew what would make you scream.
( the sweetness of your breath on my neck)
I was bored.
(I didn’t know how to handle the comfort)
I wanted every night to drown in passion
( we all have it in the beginning)
I let you go to find my way,
(oh how I regret it)
To find the love of another
(it only left me searching for you again)
