Magic Like Liquid
By Shawn Wunjo
The soft release of the spell tearing from your fingers leaves an imprint like fire upon your soul. The last drop of magic is a moon whisper, a breath of sunlight which blossoms in the wet night and leaves you convulsing, unable to smile despite the sensations, the cessation of need.
Sweat-slick and alive with fertile visions of warm potential, you collapse to the floor, breathe the honey-sweet breaths of the willfully broken.
