WHERE HAS THE ROMANCE GONE?
By Mike Berger, PhD
They are a riot, my Friday night
poker friends. Six ponchy men
playing five card draw and drinking
Bud.
They end up talking the same old
thing, "Where has the romance gone?"
They complained that the 120 pound girl
they married now has her jeans made at
the tent and awaning shop
They say they've developed a roving eye,
the twenty year itch. They are taken to their
blonde secretary. If nothing more, they talk
a good game.
These guys haven't a clue. They have a
a good woman why would they look for
more? I wonder when they last brought
their wife roses, or spent a night out
without the kids. The spark dies out
when you fail to tell her that you love
her and pat her on the fanny. Do they
talk about things other than money?
Where has the romance gone? I'll tell
you; go look in the mirror.
