Midnight Melody
By Glenda Grande
In the whispers of the wind, secrets that float by
I send them off with a kiss on my lips, "Goodbye."
An enchanting tale of what once was so beautiful,
Now nothing more than a memory within a tear.
"Hold me, remember me, the sweet lullaby;
Embrace me, call me, say it wasn't a lie."
Echoing through the forest, a magical spell -
Jewels erupting in colour, suspended with wings;
A hushing baritone - my heart surrendering.
The breath of life, opening my eyes to a new world:
It was here all along, yet I was blinded - alone.
The impossible made possible; infinite dreams
A road which says no to none shines; it gleams.
Voices sweetly hum like the little nightingale;
The Goddess of the moon smiling down upon me
As I gaze upon her and her children; they glitter -
They fill my heart with unspoken desires. My love,
If I speak gentle words, close your eyes and listen:
For the whispering wind carries my secrets gently -
They were born from my lips and travel towards you
This story - yours, mine; ours, it will always be beautiful.
Remember within each tear, a memory is held and born.
Hold it, remember and sing your midnight lullaby,
Embrace your life, for it is real, and call on me
Because I will be there whenever you need a friend.

'Come with me and I'll take you on a stroll. Let me reveal the world to you in my perspective'
Lend me your heart, and allow to cast the angelic illusion.'
A collection of poetry and prose written by a young woman, telling the tales of life with artful words.
