What We're Looking For:
*Anything love or romance-themed. Fiction, poetry, experimental forms, etc.
Lengthwise: 4000 words or less. Longer works (including novels) should be sent to Thunderune Publishing instead. [link]
Our sweet spot: 1000 words or less (500-800) We really like flash fiction!
Submit as much and as often as you like! :)
Things to consider before sending:
*Read this short comic: "How to Piss Off a Magazine Editor"
*Proofread it! We only take polished work.
*Read a few submissions (and comment to help others improve!)
*Daily Love can't take X-rated work or ultraviolence. Send those to Razor Dildo(NSFW) instead.
Things we like:

NOTE: Corrections and changes to the story made after its acceptance will not be taken. Please make sure the story you send is the story you want on the site. Stories accepted by Daily Love will stay on the site for as long as the site exists. Stories accepted by Daily Love will not be pulled from the site for any reason.
NOTE: Until 1/20/13, Daily Love was a daily magazine. The current model is centered around publishing good material as it comes, sometimes daily.
Here’s the legal stuff: When your story gets accepted, you are giving Daily Love first electronic publication rights and non-exclusive subsequent publication rights. This means that we get to be the first to publish your story, and then, after it has been put up on the website, we can stick it in a printed book or on a flyer or something like that, as long as we give you credit. We don’t own your story, however– after it appears on the front page of Daily Love, you are free to sell it for millions of dollars, cut a deal with a movie producer, expand it into a book, enter it into your own or someone else's anthology or anything else all without needing our approval– as long as you remember to tell any potential buyers that they are buying your story as a non-exclusive piece.
In order to avoid complications, we're only accepting work which you previously haven't sold or given away the rights to. That means your work must not have been published elsewhere, either in print or on the web. Please avoid simultaneous submissions. Once accepted, stories will not be removed from the site or the schedule.
We will let you know whether your story is accepted within 3-6 months of submission, (Doutrope says more like 1-2 days) depending on workload. If you haven't heard from Daily Love in that time, feel free to send us an email and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can. Sometimes things get caught in our spam filters. It really is nothing personal. :)
In the meantime, spread the word!
Again, by submitting your story to Daily Love, you acknowledge that if your story is accepted, you are giving the Daily Love team:
A. The non-exclusive right to be first to electronically publish the story on www.dailylove.net;
B. The right to republish the story in or in connection with Daily Love, including electronic or hard copy promotional material and printed compilations, provided that authorial credit is given in every instance of reproduction.
Compensation:
Credit (your name, your website if you have one, and your short bio) and publication! Whether this is your jumping off point as a writer or a way to get another piece on your resume, Daily Love offers you a voice, a chance to get your work out there in the hands of readers and be seen!
