Assert the Truth

Should you come to meet me
And ask: how I am?
I’m fine. But to tell it
In answer is sweeter than sweet.
Should you come to greet me
And welcome: how sure I am?
I am full of confidence
But to assert it in answer.
Is to be more confident.
Should you but come to me
And propose: if I love you?
I do, should you but ask!
For, to accept is more
Beautiful than I do love you.

Shez is your love, your inspiration to make you a poet. But to tell it in answer is sweeter than sweet.
This poem is one of the Shez poems similar to Lucy poems of William Wordsworth.
Another enigmatic one... thoroughly thought provoking!!!

Khurshid, you seem to welcome some of the questions, but don't want your beloved to ask you to say "I love you" because you feel it detracts from your love.
But I must warn you about women...sometimes we need to hear it spoken, and so we do ask the question simply because we want to hear you say it, not as a test of your love, but as a confirmation of it!
Read your poem, seems to be different.
A different way of expressing love,
A different way of expressing care,
and A different way of expressing yourself...in terms of love...
But I feel that expressing your love is very important, it doesn't detracts the feelings but it flourishes, elevates, and aggradizes the feeling of love.
A girl always wants to be proposed at every stages of her life. It makes her feel special and beautiful.
So keep loving and writing to keep love alive... :)
